It's that time of year! To remember all the projects you meant to do, but only remember once it's too cold outside! I do it too!
A Quick DIY project, that can easily be done inside your garage, is to insulate the garage doors. It took about an hour for me to do my nice old garage doors, but was a lot cheaper than buying new ones. And still looks pretty good too!
Here's the kit I bought from Lowe's that worked out for me, $60 per door and the instructions are pretty straight forward. Be prepared to clean up foam from everywhere when you're done!
Here's a look at one door completed and one left to go:
And the finished product: (I think it turned out looking pretty good for some doors that are decades old. It seems to have helped with the cold in the garage as well)
The backs of the foam have some lines scored in them to allow you to bend them in place. You'll have to cut thinner pieces to slide into edges of the door as well which is what causes the mess. A longer, sharp knife makes it easier to cut, but a box cutter will work just fine.

"I first used Cyndi back in 2008 when she helped me purchase my first home. It was probably the worst contract any first-time home buyer could have entered into due to the fact the seller past away during our active contract. I would not have been able to stay sane if it weren't for Cyndi. She was very passionate and understanding. I am a person with a strong and demanding personality who always expects "A" class service. Cyndi exceeded all my expectations which later led to me calling her back in 2015 to sell my house and buy my current house. She will go above and beyond regardless of how many houses or your price range. Her main concern is making you happy. I will and have referred her to many friends and family who are interested in buying and selling their homes."
